4-H Educational Center History
The $2.5 million Center provides a perfect setting for leadership development and other educational activities. Owned and operated by the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture and Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service, this residential conference center was made possible by Friends of Kentucky 4-H Inc., through a grant from the Federal Department of Commerce, Economic Develpment Administration; gifts from the James Graham Brown Foundation; and numerous gifts from corporations, foundations, and businesses. The residential wing of the complex was constructed primarily by funds raised at the county level by volunteers with the support of Cooperative Extension Service agents.
