J.M. Feltner Memorial 4-H Camp, near London, KY. covers 182 acres of scenic foothills near the Daniel Boone National Forest and the Levi Jackson State Park. The camp serves 32 counties and can accommodate 294 campers and counselors per session in its cabins plus 12 in the outpost for primitive camping. The cabins and bath houses are heated. Camp facilities include a heated dining hall, the 5-plex multipurpose building, the shelter house, nature building, country store for souvenirs and snacks and a swimming pool with waterslide. A 1 ½ acre lake provides opportunities for fishing, canoeing, paddle boating, and pond studies in nature class. The camp offers facilities for archery, riflery,hiking, volleyball, basketball, football, tennis and a low ropes and high ropes* challenge course. The shelter house or spacious campfire area is ideal for evening programs or special events.
We have 3 and 5 passenger pedal boats for the lake. Use of lifejackets will be required and there must be a water-front trained lifeguard on duty at the lake. The cost is $6 per pedal boat per hour. Users within the group can rotate during that hour. Please call ahead to make arrangements.
*The High Ropes Course consists of a zip line and climbing wall. It is available to Extension and non-Extension groups. There must be 2 facilitators present. All participants under the age of 18 must have a permission slip signed by a parent or custodial guardian before using the course. See rate sheets below for more information.
