Dog Bowl and Skillathon

Description

The 4-H Dog Bowl and Skillathon events provide 4-H members participating in county 4-H dog clubs and programs the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of dog related subject matter in a competitive setting.

Kentucky 4-H believes that all youth should have opportunities for positive youth development in our four guiding concepts:  mastery, belonging, independence, and generosity. This event fosters mastery by learning about dog breeds, anatomy, conformation, and animal care and management, belonging by being part of a team, independence by demonstrating self discipline in preparing for the events, and generosity by participating in a pet food drive taking place at the event.
