Kentucky 4-H Dog Show
Description
The Kentucky 4-H Dog Show is offered to all 4-H members that have participated in a county 4-H dog program or independent/individual study during the program year. The show provides an opportunity for 4-H members to demonstrate what they (and their dog) have learned, and build upon leadership, sportsmanship, and communication skills.
Kentucky 4-H believes that all youth should have opportunities for positive youth development in our four guiding concepts: mastery, belonging, independence, and generosity. This event fosters mastery by learning about dog care, management, and handling, belonging by interacting with youth from their county and counties across the state, independence by demonstrating responsible dog ownership, generosity by participating in a pet food drive taking place at the event.
