4-H Teens
Overview
Kentucky 4-H believes that all youth should have opportuntiies for positive youth development in our four guiding concepts: mastery, belonging, independence, and generosity. There are many dynamic opportunities for teen’s to become involved in 4-H projects and activities on the local, district and state level. 4-H offers a variety of opportunities for teens to develop life skills that they will need throughout their life. Contact your county 4-H agent for more information (link)!
The beginning point for teens to become involved in 4-H is through their local extension office. Through programs conducted at the county level, they have the chance to participate in activities specifically geared toward their age and interests. Whether it’s serving as a mentor for younger youth, showing livestock at the county fair, facilitating a leadership workshop or conducting service learning projects, there is something for everyone! Beyond the county level, there are many district and state opportunities for teens to become involved in that will take their 4-H involvement to the state and national level!
