Volunteer Kentucky!
The 2015-2016 Advanced Volunteer Administration Academy created a useful and innovative curriculum entitled “Volunteer Kentucky!”
The “Volunteer Kentucky!” curriculum enables Extension professionals to engage community volunteer administrators in a professional development experience consisting of six 90 to 120 minute sessions. The curriculum includes a description, outline, fact sheet series, facilitator’s guides, handouts, tools, resources, powerpoint presentations, materials, session evaluations, and pre- and post-test assessments. “Volunteer Kentucky!” empowers participants to administer volunteer programs effectively in their organizations and communities, and provides an organized structure for volunteer engagement. ”Volunteer Kentucky!” can catalyze Extension professionals to expand volunteer involvement and brings Extension to the forefront as the premier resource for volunteer administration in the community.
