Location: Mammoth Cave National Park

4-Hers aged 9 to 18 are eligible to participate. 4-H youth have the opportunity to learn about Kentucky’s trees and forests as well as a few of the skills that real-life foresters utilize everyday while on the job. During the field day 4-Hers will be taught and tested on the basics of tree identification, tree measurement, and the use of a compass and measuring distances by pacing.

  • Cost is $3 per participant (must register with your 4-H Agent)
  • Bring a sack lunch
  • Wear sturdy shoes such as tennis shoes
