Environmental Education Camps
The camp experience is not limited to our summer guests. West Kentucky 4-H Camp offers place-based educational opportunities that are aligned with national standards and customized to fit your programmatic needs. Our learner-centered programs aim to make important connections to concepts learned in the classroom.
Spring 2023 Dates: March 20 - 5
Fall 2023 Dates: September 4 - November 10
Trip organizers may select from a class list that meet NGSS Core Ideas, Science and Engineering Practices, and Cross Cutting Concepts. Classes offered include bird adaptations, mammals, nature hikes, owl pellet dissection, lake study, night hikes, and enviroscape. Class descriptions and corresponding standards can be found at the bottom of this page.
Overnight Camp:
Includes 24 hours of camp fun, your cabin stay, 3 meals and 1 snack. Select from a variety of class to rotate through and an evening program. Play games with camp staff, take a night hike, and tell stories around the campfire.
$36/student
$35/adults, teacher, extension staff
Adults teaching 4+ hours are free! One adult volunteer in each cabin is free!
Group minimum is 20 paying guests or a $700 flat rate will apply.
Day Camp:
Come for a fast-paced day of camp fun! *meal not included
$10/student
Adults, teachers, and extension staff are free!
