4-H Leadership Bootcamp
Description
Kentucky 4-H believes that all youth should have opportunties for positive youth development in our four guiding concepts: mastery, belonging, independence, and generosity. This event fosters mastery by providing youth the opportunity to practice professional development skills with peers and professionals, belonging by fostering the connections made with like-minded peers, independence by encouraging ownership of the individual 4-H experience through new relationships, and generosity by uplifting others and encouraging them professional and personal devleopment.
The Kentucky 4-H Leadership Bootcamp was first offered in October 2016 to help promote general and 4-H specific leadership skills. This program is an invitation only event for those youth that are interested in taking their leadership to the next level. Special emphasis is on preparing the participants to assume state level leadership roles in Kentucky 4-H. The event is limted to 30 youth participants upon the recommendation of their county 4-H agent.
