About the Camp

The West Kentucky 4-H Camp is a 465-acre facility serving 38 counties in Western Kentucky. Located in Dawson Springs, KY, our camp is home to 4-H Summer Camp and is available for group rentals throughout the year. Our facilities include a 17-acre fresh-water lake, fishing dock, a high and low ropes challenge course, archery & riflery ranges, a swimming pool, multi-purpose buildings, athletic fields, 2 dining halls, and 22 cabins with a total capacity of 486. Our camp hosts a variety of groups and events including School Overnights, Church Retreats, Leadership Trainings, Weekend Camps, and much more! For more information, contact us today!

Rental Groups

West Kentucky 4-H Camp's beautiful facility sleeps up to 514 people. With multiple buildings and outdoor settings, we are ready to accomodate your next birthday party, corporate retreat, family reunion or special event!

West Kentucky Camp Events/Availability

Sap to Sugar Festival 2024

This hands-on experience lasts about 2 hours. Please pre-register for your start time. Have a pancake breakfast, learn how to identify maple trees and how sap flows, experience tapping a tree and turning sap into syrup, and explore the history and lore of sugaring. Whether you are interested in tapping trees in your own backyard or just want to enjoy this sweet activity for the day, there is something for everyone. 

$12 for ages 3 - 11

$16 for ages 12 and up

A guest at the 2023 maple festival uses a mallet to secure a spile, used for collecting sap, into the trunk of a maple tree.
